Gua Sha Stone

Gua Sha is derived from traditional East Asian and Chinese medicine. ‘Gua’ means scrape, and ‘Sha’ means sand; the technique is also known as ‘coining’. A Gua Sha massage utilises a flat, multi-edged stone passed over the skin in an upward motion to promote deep-tissue drainage and relaxation of the muscles.

In salons, the Gua Sha massage technique is used to apply pressure over the body to release muscle tension and pain. For use at home, the Gua Sha stone is perfect for providing a light facial massage that promotes blood circulation and encourages lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness, eliminate toxins, and smooth the skin’s appearance.

With frequent use, it can help your products sink into the skin better as well as give a lifted and brighter complexion. Its unique shape allows the tool to be used in various positions, pressures and directions across the face and neck, as well as the back and shoulders for a more complete massage.

Did You Know?

Our stone is derived from natural Obsidian. Used throughout history by Alchemists, Shamans, and Spiritualists, Obsidian has long been believed to have strong healing powers. It is known as a stone of protection and can shield the user from negativity. Obsidian is believed to rid feelings of resentment, along with anger and fear, allowing one to feel free, present, and calm.

In crystal healing, Obsidian can be used to aid the release of addictions, negative behaviours, and emotional blockages. It is also used by healers to aid joint pain, including arthritis, cramps, and circulation problems.
