Sometimes we need to use synthetic ingredients to help with the formulation, we never use nasty ingredients, only safe ingredients for skincare.

Ingredients affecting 100% Natural Claims and what they do:

Propylene Glycol is a humectant (hydrating) and delivery ingredient used in cosmetics. In cosmetics, propylene glycol is used in small amounts to keep products from melting in high heat or from freezing.

Pentylene Glycol is a synthetic skin-replenishing agent and is also used as a solvent and preservative. It is both water and oil-soluble and can have moisture-binding and antimicrobial properties.

Benzyl Alcohol is an organic alcohol that occurs naturally in some fruits like apricots and cranberries. It is one of the least skin sensitising preservatives.

Phenoxyethanol is a widely used synthetic preservative that has global approval for use in all cosmetic products in concentrations up to 1%. We stick to below this level.

Ethylhexylglycerin
is a synthetic skin-softening agent also used as a preservative, a carrier, or suspending agent for other preservatives such as phenoxyethanol.
